Their are many of us who think that both Dharma & Religion has same meaning, but is it so? No, Dharma & Religion both are totally different from each other. Wikipedia says Religion means the belief in & worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or Gods & accordingly it says Dharma means an aspect of truth or reality. So does that clarify you all what exactly it is?
So let me explain in simple language. Religion means faith. So faith can be anywhere like it might be in Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh etc. Whatever you follow. Today you are Indian, tomorrow you can be British Citizen, day after tomorrow you can choose to be an Australian & finally may be as a Monk.
So the question is, some of the fools who fight in the name of religion or community, are they right??? Can faith be made by riots, creating terror amongst people, warning them etc. Never. You can be of any religion, country, community or caste & also can change at any point of time with minimum efforts.
So what is dharma??? Dharma means eternal duty. Let's make it easy. What is the nature of Sugar? It's sweet right. So it cannot be sour or spicy. Similarly chilly is spicy, Bitter gourd is bitter & Tamarind is sour. They cannot change their eternal nature or speciality they possess. It's impossible by any method. It remains in it's same nature wherever it is. It might be in Hindu or Muslim or in any other country. The eternal feature remains same. So that's the Dharma. Our eternal duty.
So now what's the Dharma of Humans? Our most eternal duty is to love & serve. You cannot escape from this anyhow you get a try. You might be from any caste, country or from any field you are serving. Knowingly or unknowingly you love & serve. That's eternal. Some serve their boss, some serve their parents, some to their families, some to the temple, mosque, church etc. And the one who is alone & lonely he too buy some pet & serve it. He loves it & take care of it. Why is that so common among we all??? It's very simple, that's our eternal feature.
Our most eternal duty is to love God, serve him & reconnect with him. That's what will save us from all anxiety & sinful activities.
Our loving & serving to someone may be forgotten by a particular person but God never forgets even a minute service you render towards him. So what to speak when you whole heartedly love him.
So instead of fighting or creating mess in the name of religion, everyone should be taught what is his eternal duty. Religion are many but Dharma is only one. So better to follow Dharma rather than religion & getting confused.
